And you gave it 5 stars!?

@3cstudio thanks for noticing. I just changed it! It defaults to 5!
Nicely done. 🙂
Just submitted a long reply rant in a Support ticket where SIteground tried to smooth things over – I’m not opposed to using the new plugin, but definitely opposed to it being “force-installed” outside of my purview, especially when I’m the site manager for dozens of client sites! 🙁
We’ll see what the response is… hoping they’ll simply own it and implement a protocol to return the power to their customers.

Hi @mymothersdaughter,
The plugin remains fully under your control and can be disabled or removed directly from your WordPress dashboard at any time.
If you’re managing multiple websites and would prefer not to do this manually, simply reach out to our support team and we can assist with removing it across all of your websites.
If there’s anything else we can help with in the meantime, we’d be happy to do so.
Regards,
Vladimir
@vtrandev that’s not the point.
I’ll summarize my response to Support: Siteground has zero grounds for making this Plugin auto-installed to their customer sites in the first place. Period. It’s clearly a very unpopular move on Siteground’s part, and Siteground should own-up to the overreach & rescind the entire auto-install setup. It should have simply been made available, promoted as such, and customers would be encouraged to get onboard with the Plugin’s capabilities — not force-fed to all customer sites (as some of us manage dozens on behalf of clients!).
