I have added /news/ as a prefix to my blog posts. This then affected all my custom post types which I can easily change using ACF. However, there doesn’t seem to be any way of controlling the permalinks for author pages and I get the following permalink structure: /news/author/author-name

Is there a method for removing the ‘/news/’ prefix from the author post type?

    Hi @outofhouse ,

Could you let us know how you set up the prefix to your blog posts? If you use a certain plugin, feel free to share the details.

Hi – thanks for the response.

I used the standard WordPress permalinks settings to add /news/ before %postname%

I was able to disable this for all custom post types created in the Advanced Custom Fields plugin but not the author post type.

However, since asking for help, I realised I could download and install a plugin that would allow me to change the slug for default posts only and leave all other permalimnks as-is. I have therefore managed to sort this out!

    Hi @outofhouse ,

    Glad to know that.
Could you let me know which plugin you’re using to achieve this? It would be helpful for us to know, especially when other clients are looking for the same result.
