Assets loading when block not used

    The big benefit of Gutenberg is being able to not worry about having lots of blocks available as the assets required for a block only load when a block is used. However the Video Popup block loads fancybox even when that block is not in use on a page. If I completely turn off that block in the settings it doesn’t load but it shouldn’t load scripts that aren’t in use. I realized this when we had a conflict with our theme.

    nevermind I found the setting 😉 Is there any reason this wouldn’t be the default on new installations?

    I’m glad to hear that you managed to find the appropriate setting. 

    As for your question, no, I don’t think there’s some particular reason for that. But we surely keep that in mind.
