    Hi !

Love your plugin and use it across multiple sites. However it appears to me that when W3 Total Cache is enabled that my mainwp dashboard can’t talk to the child site, even after the child site has been activated/linked to the mainwp dashboard.

I also fooled around with some w3 total cache settings, like
Don’t cache pages for following user roles
Select user roles that should not receive cached pages:

Administrator Editor Author Contributor Subscriber Customer Shop Manager SEO Manager SEO Editor

but at this point I’m just guess & checking.

Is there anyway to make mainwp compatible with w3 total cache? if so, how?

if not, which caching plugin would work? really hoping W3 is OK because I spent too much time setting it up in the past.

everything works just fine with w3 total cache disabled

  • I can’t help you with W3 Total Cache, but I’m using WP Super Cache successfully with MainWP. However, I don’t use it on the Dashboard site, just the child sites. Since my Dashboard site only runs Main WP Dashboard, and I’m the only visitor, there’s not a need for caching.

@arooni, thanks for reaching out to us.

If you are using the W3 Total Cache on your MainWP Dashboard site, I would recommend keeping it disabled. We strongly recommend running the MainWP Dashboard on a dedicated website that will be used only for that purpose and as @linux4me2 said, since you will be the only or one of a few users that use it, there is no need to use caching system there.

If I misunderstood you and you are having issues with the W3 Total Cache on your child sites, please feel free to open a helpdesk ticket at https://mainwp.com/support/. We will be happy to help with troubleshooting.

I guess I must suck at writing the description of my problem.

I DO NOT have w3 total cache on my MainWP dashboard site.

I DO HAVE w3 total cache running on one of the child sites that my MainWP Dashboard site is trying to connect to (but cannot connect to).

@arooni, if I am correct, you have an open ticket at our helpdesk.

    We will continue troubleshooting there.
