• Annoying advertising does not sell, especially when there is no way to remove it. Shows up on every page of wp-admin each time I log in. Only way to be rid is to be rid of plugin itself.

    Hi @webgalway,
we are sorry to hear that, there might be a bug we’d like to solve with your help.
Yoast Duplicate Post does not show any advertising, and the upgrade notice is shown only on the Dashboard and the Plugins page, and it can be easily dismissed with a click so you won’t see it.
Can you show us some screenshots or a video with the problem?

Thank you in advance for you help!

the ad contains the following text –

What’s new in Yoast Duplicate Post version 4.1.1: Now also available in Elementor: the powerful Rewrite & Republish feature. Updating your content has never been easier! Read more about what’s new in Yoast Duplicate Post 4.1.1!

If you want to stay up to date about all the exciting developments around Duplicate Post, subscribe to the Yoast newsletter!
    Email Address _____________

Edit – you are right is not on every page – my mistake – but it is on the dashboard on logging in and on all plugin pages – when dismissed it just returns – should be an option to not see this ad again

    Hi @webgalway,
we’re sorry for that, and you’re right, the update notice should stay dismissed once you have clicked on the × icon. Since unfortunately there may always be some glitches with that, we already provide an option to solev these problems: if you visit Settings → Duplicate Post, navigate to the third tab “Display”, you’ll see a checkbox “Show update notice” that you can uncheck. This will prevent the update notice to be displayed again.
Let us know if this works!

I’m sorry but I don’t agree with these ads in wp-admin – I have other more essential plugins that do not present ads on dashboard that I have to find a way around before I can get on with my work. If they all did that it would be a bombardment of clutter. I appreciate the replies but I will not be reactivating plugin.

    Hi @webgalway,
we understand, and that’s there reason why we are working towards phasing out these notices: in the last year we have reduced their impact a lot so they are displayed only for major updates and only on selected screens, as you could see; plus, they used to ask for donations but now they are there just to allow people to discover the new features (that’s why they don’t quilify as ads in our view).
We have plans to reach that goal in new, more useful ways, and we hope you’ll give us another chance when they will be implemented.
    Thank you for your feedback!

Any progress on phasing out those notices? They’re super annoying
