Angie MCP??
-
What does this MCP file keep running and what is it? Terrible if you are trying to force an MCP AI server with out consent!

Hi @modemlooper
Thank you for reaching out! I’m happy to help clarify how the MCP works with The Events Calendar.
The file you mentioned is responsible for managing all prompts related to managing your events and tickets. Please rest assured that the MCP server is running within your installation via our plugin—it is not accessible to anyone else. Only you, as the owner or administrator, can grant permission for others to connect to your MCP server and assist with event management.
If you’d like to learn more about Event and Tickets MCP, you can find additional details in our knowledgebase article below.

How do I disable this?
Hi @modemlooper,
I wanted to know where are you seeing this be ran all the time? The way we coded this it was meant to only show when someone has Angie installed, and if you are seeing it without using Angie its a bug.
Please share some screenshots of where you are seeing it, and I will make sure that it doesn’t on our next release.
As a side note, our MCP is not actually any code that is running in your WordPress install, it uses the REST API that comes default on WordPress, so there isn’t a way to disable it unless you remove the REST API.Best Regards,
See this image it runs and outputs to console. You should really have a way to disable this. Not everyone wants to be forced to accommodate AI. We do not have Angie installed, only TEC and TEC Pro
We may be forced to remove TEC and use a different product.

Ok, so it’s a bug and it shouldn’t have been running. I am sorry that this script got erroneously enqueued, it was not the intended behavior.
I am being super clear here that this is not the intended behavior and is currently not doing anything on your server or sharing any of data, there is not forced accommodation here, it will be fixed very soon on the next version. The following code should completely remove it.
add_filter( 'tec_common_ai_mcp_is_active', '__return_false' );These debug messages are meant to enable better visibility into what it would be doing if Angie was configured.
Thank you for the console screenshot, does that happen on every page of the admin or on all pages of the website?
Best Regards,All pages when logged in.
We appreciate the information, @modemlooper .
