Akismet Integration Suggestion

Currently, we collect the first and last name in separate fields since we send our contact requests to another system that requires a last name. I am wanting to integrate Akismet filtering into our form but the only option I see is for akismet:author. Is it possible (or would it be possible) to add akismet:author-first and akismet:author-last parameters that just concatenate to the full author for submission to Akismet?
