    Hello,

I have been using Wordfence on a site for quite some time. But it seems to be blocking ajax requests now. I disabled Wordfence, clear the WT3 cache and then Load More function is working. I had a similar problem a while ago, but it was resolved, hence why it is strange the same issue is happening now.

I cannot move the plugin to learning mode or disabled to be able to do diagnotics either. The screen reloads and always remains at Protecting firewall status.

    Thanks

    Hi @traqbar,

It would certainly be beneficial to see diagnostics in a case like this, so my focus would be on seeing why the plugin admin pages don’t seem to be working as intended to get you there. This could be a conflict with another plugin, or potentially is tied in with your observation around caching – especially as the page refreshes but doesn’t change settings.

I would try running Wordfence standalone as a first test. Disable your other plugins and see if you’re able to get a diagnostic to us at wftest @ wordfence . com through the Tools > Diagnostics page. Don’t forget to put your forum username where prompted if you can.

If everything works as intended when Wordfence isn’t running alongside other plugins, reenable your others one-by-one, testing if Wordfence stops behaving as intended again when one in particular is enabled.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hello,

Thanks for the support. Seems like the issue is resolved. The site was maybe about to have a melt down due to another plugin generating thousands upon thousands of files for a feature. I had already complained about being poor quality as these files are not managed and left to rot. But it was not resolved to date. It has been casuing backup problems as well.

Perhaps a good feature you could add to Wordfence is ensuring that high file counts are mentioned or monitored. As in this case there was no obvious signs of the file count casuing the issue, but there was some strange behaviours starting to build up.

Anyway, I disabled the feature of said plugin, removed the 3 million QR code un-needed files and things seem to be getting back to normal.

    Thanks

Thank-you for letting us know @traqbar, by all means start up a new topic if this presents itself again or you require any other assistance with Wordfence.

    Peter.
