I don’t think that WP_Scripts::localize issue will have a connection to this issue (also I’m not even sure if this code comes from us), so we should focus on the memory problem instead.

What you should know about memory limit reaching error messages is, that it isn’t necessarily that code creating the issue, where the error message appears, but this message means, that this is the point, where you don’t have more memory left. So it could be any code (plugin or theme) before this point, that uses up almost all your memory, while our code just happens where the limit is actually reached. Because of this, identifying memory_limit causing plugins is really hard, as the only real indication of too much memory usage is the memory reached error message, but I made two plugins, which could help:

You should install these plugins at the Plugins -> Add new. The memory_usage_display plugin will display how much memory is used accordingly to the memory_get_usage function:

You could turn off your plugins one-by-one to idenfity which one causes a lot of memory, starting with Smart Slider.

The memory_tester plugin allows you to identify exactly how much memory was left on your website. If you go to (replace yourwebsite.com with your website’s url):

so to any page, with a “memory” parameter in it:

you are able to write down a number of how much data would you like to occupy. In my example this 100000 data is about 4MB memory. If you found the threshold, you could try to turn off Smart Slider to see how much memory can you occupy that way.

And you could test out your other plugins as well, to see how much memory they are using up.
