Adding new menu items not working

I have moved a website to a new server.

I think during the move something has caused the menu to not show up.
I am using the Make them and have Max Mega menu installed.
I cannot add new menu items as when I go to the Appearance/Menus page and try to add the Pages from the box on the left then nothing happens.

When I try using the Customise link under the Appearance menu then I can add menu items, they are visible in the preview window, but when I go to publish the page I get a “changeset_post_save_failure” notification.

I have gone through all the standard troubleshooting practises of plugins deactivated, changed themes etc but none of those affect the outcome.

I think it might be to do with something in the database which has not copied over correctly but there are a lot of tables and lines to compare to find the missing part. I am looking to see if there is anyone who may know what it is that would affect the behaviour of the menu creation in this way.

It could be theme related but I am unsure which is why I am asking here.
Any positive constructive inputs would be much valued.
