Add slug to current URL suddenly stopped working

Hello! This is the first time in all these years that I’ve had an issue with this plugin, it was working perfectly but at some point it stopped doing what always did and I just noticed it. I use all my gallery links by adding a slug to the current url, as far as I know just by putting a word in the “Link URL” field would add that word to the current page after its slash, but it’s not doing that anymore, it simply directs to that exact word and says “site can’t be reached”. The url is simply that word and nothing more, it used to work by adding whatever I put in that space at the end of the current url.

Ex. If my page was “www.wordpress.com/members/” and I put “john” in the Link URL field on the image, it would take me to “www.wordpress.com/members/john”. Did something change that made it not work anymore? I never touched anything because it kept working for years but I haven’t checked my gallery in months until today.
