    UPDATE

I think I figure out why I am getting that fatal error when trying to activate social connect. After viewing both php info on my local test server and the production server. I noticed that the only difference was curl was not install on the production server. So I disabled curl on my local server and got the same fetal error when activating social connect. So I am going to have the server admin install curl and see if that fixes my issue.

Thanks for posting an updated status regarding your problem with the plugin.

This plugin requires curl so that is probably why you couldn’t activate it. A message expliciting this dependency should have been displayed to you (line 20 of social-connect.php.) I wonder why this was not the case.

    UPDATE

Sorry for the delay for an update but the server admin finally got curl installed and I was finally able to activate social connect. 🙂
