How can I get SEO title now? In previous versions it was stored in _aioseop_title meta. Now it returns post title for newer posts and SEO title for older posts. Most likely this is temporary behavior.
_aioseo_title now returns SEO title for newer posts, but all tags included, which before were not visible.

Would be nice to get a brief manual how downgrade can be done. Also database cleanup should be performed, because a lot metakeys are not removed and tables are not dropped after plugin 4.0 uninstall.
Please could you let us know if 3.x version will not be maintained so we’ll start to look for an elternative plugin?
It looks like it would be rather good solution for you to support two branches, as there not so many happy users with version 4.0.

Yes, I agree it would be nice to know how to revert back to 3.x version. I know that time marches on but the simplicity and reliability of the previous version was so nice.

I gave up on YOAST years ago due to constant problems with their interface and updates breaking sites. I think many of your plugin users are like me and are disappointed in the new so far “dis-improved” version.

In the meantime, I will be looking to see how this goes and shopping for an alternative plugin in case issues are not resolved to use for my clients.

    Hey guys,

You can download the previous version of the plugin here if you like – https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/all-in-one-seo-pack.3.7.1.zip. Unfortunately, we do not plan on maintaining it.

Also, if you install 4.0.0, navigate to General Settings > Advanced, you can enable the AIOSEO Uninstall setting so that the plugin removes its tables when it is deleted.

    Hi,

Then we’ll need to find an alternative solution.
How can I perform cleanup after plugin is already uninstalled?

Also new plugin just removed robots.txt file and we need to restore it from a backup copy, while in 3.x branch this file was never handled by the plugin.
