404 Error

    WP Forum:

    I’m getting a 404 error and not able to get my WP login credentials –

    Here’s my problem:

    1. – I went into WP General Settings and changed the WP Address (URL). The address I used was for a different site.

    2. – In Addition, in the General Settings I also changed the Site Address (URL). Again the address I used was for a different site.

    After I refreshed, WP kicked me out and I can no longer get back in. I should also mention that the current site was in MAINTENANCE MODE. Furthermore, I checked the wp_config.php file and did a system restore to a previous date but still getting the 404 error page.

    I’m not very technical, what should I do or try next?
