  • @altaico,

    Procedure:

    (1) Download and install the Google Authenticator app.

    (2) Log into your website. A QR Code will be displayed when you click “Log In” for the first time.

    (3) Scan the QR Code with your Google Authenticator app (click on the + sign displayed at the bottom right of the app screen).

    You’re all set and ready to go!

    Ok. My question is other, if I have already configurated the 2 factor authentication (scanned the QR) but at some moment I don’t have this app with me in my phone.

    The interface doesn’t offer another option to enter, neither I can’t download codes to log in from the plugin in the website.

    How can I log in?

    Thank you.

    Greetings,

    @altaico,

    Apologies, we misunderstood your first question.

    We submitted a similar request to SiteGround as noted here.

    Since this plugin is fairly new, lets hope they introduce the option to email the 2FA code at their next appropriate plugin revision level.

    Until then, we’re stuck with the current method. Recommend you install the Google Authenticator app on two mobile devices (e.g., phone and tablet) and your desktop. Go online for instructions.

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Cheers!

    Hey,

    The alternative way to log in using backup codes is almost ready and it will be released very soon.
