Undefined array key "search_placeholder" in /Users/x/local/x/app/public/wp-content/plugins/acf-extended/includes/fields/field-select.php on line 215

[26-Nov-2025 22:24:25 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined array key "allow_custom" in /Users/x/local/x/app/public/wp-content/plugins/acf-extended/includes/fields/field-select.php on line 220

It can be that the ACF JSON is in an old format because I havent changed any ACF fields in a while.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

Hmmm, this is strange, because search_placeholder & allow_custom are settings added by ACF Extended as default settings.

This means that even if you have an old ACF Json with an old format, the new settings will be still added and become available as “default”.

However, this will happen if the fields are retrieved/rendered using the ACF API. So you might some custom code somewhere with some incorrect logic.

    • Can you please give more details about your “clean install”?
    • Did you just install WP 6.8.3 + ACF Pro 6.6.2 + ACF Extended 0.9.2, using the native WP theme?
    • Anything custom in your setup? Only the ACF JSON? Can you share it, see if I can reproduce it?

    Thanks!

    Regards.
