  • go into the 1&1 admin and create a mysql database (you get 2 MySQL databases free), they also give you a copy of phpmyadmin to administer it there if you need it.

    then use those user name, db name, password in the wordpress install.

    I have several domains hosted with 1and1.com and have set up a successful WordPress installation on one of the domains.

    I now want to set up blogs on a couple other domains.

    What do you recommend? Should I install WordPress in each domain directory and create separate MySQL databases for each blog? The 1and1.com tech support folks said I could do that, or edit the config.php file and run several blogs from one database.

    I have tons of file storage space I’m never going to use up on my 1and1.com account, so space is not an issue. I’d prefer something simple to manage.

    Your thoughts!?
