Welcome to Nova Scotia’s Women’s Centres Connect. We are the provincial association for women’s resource centres, offering timely research and education, and advocating together with our partners to prevent violence and oppression.

We believe women, in all their diversity, have the right to complete physical, mental, social, spiritual, economic and political well-being.

As such, women are the experts of their own lives and have the right to make their own decisions, be treated with respect, human dignity and decency.

We challenge the oppression of women and advocate for social change by:

Working to address societal barriers affecting women and girls, and advocating for change that has a positive impact on their families and communities;
Applying trauma-informed anti-oppressive, gender-based and rural analyses to our work;
Establishing collaborative practices with other non-government organizations and diverse communities;
Engaging with elected officials to inform policy;
Building the capacity and agency of Connect members and others to advance women’s equity and equality.
