The son of Thomas and Ellen Jones, Harry was born in Wolverhampton in 1897 and baptised at St Luke’s Church on 16 September 1897. In 1901 they were living at 50 Cobden Lane in Wolverhampton, along with Harry’s sister, Annie. By 1911 they were at 44 Bridge Street in Heath Town, Wolverhampton, with an additional child, James.
Harry enlisted as a Private in the 10th Battalion of the Worcester Regiment (service number 39992). On 31 October 1916, Harry was killed in action. Harry is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial in France, as well as on the Heath Park memorial.

The son of Leah and Herbert Cooke, Henry was born in Liverpool on 14 December 1891. By 1911, they were living at 31 Dudley Road, Wolverhampton, along with Henry’s siblings Maud Coralie, Nellie, Ernest, Phyllis, Edna, Doris, Gladys and Vera. Henry was working as a Safe maker for Chubb’s Works in Wolverhampton.
Reuben was born in Wolverhampton in 1884, the son of Reuben and Rosa J. Blunt. In 1901, at the age of 17, he was already at the 38/64 Regimental Depot of the South Staffordshire Regiment in Whittington, and he served with the Militia for six years. In 1907, he married Louisa Colbourn, and they were living at 24 Heath Street, Heath Town, Wolverhampton, by 1911, together with their two children, William and Edna Louisa Blunt. Reuben was working as an edge tool grinder at the Chillington Tool Works. The couple had two more children – Reuben A. (1912) and Bert (1914), although Bert died in 1915 while still an infant.
Harold was born in Wolverhampton in 1887 to Adam and Ellen Elizabeth Yates. The family were living at 9 Clarendon Street, Wolverhampton in 1901, and consisted of Harold, his parents, and siblings Edith W., Lucy E., Hilda J., Edward C., John D., James L., and Robert H. Harold attended the Higher Grade School in Wolverhampton.
John (mainly known as Jack) was born in Wolverhampton in 1891, the son of Harriet Elizabeth and Edwin Moore. In 1901 they were living at 88 Bushbury Road, Wolverhampton, along with Jack’s brothers, William G., Harry, Walter and Albert, and sister, Leah. They were at the same address in 1911, but the only children living with their parents were Walter, Albert, Eric and Jack. By 1911, Jack was a tool fitter.
