Snow Report for Tuesday, March 31st as of 6:00 a.m.

The midway snow depth is currently 25" inches and the year-to-date snowfall total is 173" inches.

Wolf Creek Ski Area is still open and operating 7-days a week!

Snow Report Highlights:

  • Wolf Creek Ski Area has 50% of its terrain open, with potential mid-day closures of certain avalanche terrain due to above normal temperatures and wet slab avalanche concerns.
    • Waterfall Area is closed.
    • Knife Ridge is closed.
    • Alberta Peak is closed.
    • Horseshoe Bowl is closed.
  • All lifts operating from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Conditions are springlike and hard-packed with variable off-piste conditions. Expect unmarked obstacles. 
    • Due to abnormally warm conditions, skiing on groomed runs is recommended.  Some trails have not been groomed so please check the grooming report.  Best conditions are early morning on groomed runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Steeper terrain improves as temperatures get warmer.  Snow conditions can get sticky on less steep terrain as temperatures increase.
  • The Meadow and Spur Loop Nordic trails are open and groomed.  The track was set on March 15th.

Event Highlights:

  • Lift tickets are at Local Appreciation Rates for the remainder of the season!  Adults are $70, Seniors are $51, and Children are $35.  You can pre-purchase reloadable lift tickets at shop.WolfCreekSki.com.  Everyone is a local!
  • March 31st is a Tuesday Turns and Technique Clinic.  Skiers and boarders who are C+ ability and above (wedge turns on green terrain/heel and toe slide on green terrain) can purchase a lift ticket for $70 ($51 for seniors) and a 2-hour morning lesson for just $48.
  • Join us Easter Sunday, April 5th for an Easter Bunny visit and Easter Egg Hunt!  Meet at 12:30 at Wolf Pup Hollow.  Open to all children ages 8 and under with a valid lift ticket.
  • Check out Noel Sport's Spring Sale with 25% off after ski snow boots and 25% off Scarpa gear and other great deals! Look for the purple sale tags. 
  • The Wolf Creek Challenge Series Super G Race scheduled for Saturday, April 4th has been canceled. We look forward to seeing all Super G racers for the 2027 Wolf Creek Challenge Series.

Lift Information:

  • Alberta, Charity Jane, Elma, Treasure Stoke, Bonanza, Raven, Nova, Tumbler and Lynx Lifts are operating from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Lift Ticket & Season Passes:

  • Purchase lift tickets online to get a re-loadable ticket!
  • Re-loadable lift tickets allow you to print your tickets at a pick-up box or Ticket Office the first day, then go directly to lifts the remainder of the season!  Re-loadable tickets will have an additional initial charge of $2.
  • Tickets purchased in-person at the Ticket Office windows are not re-loadable.

Services Available:

  • Ski & Snowboard School is available.
    • Reservations are highly recommended during peak periods.
    • Group Lessons are available at shop.WolfCreekSki.com.
    • Private Lessons are available by calling 970-264-5835.
  • Skis and boards are ready to rent in-person or at shop.WolfCreekSki.com.
    • Online rentals require a reservation at least two days prior to arrival. Walk-ins are always welcome.
    • Rental Shop opens at 7:00 a.m.
  • The Wolf Creek Lodge, our main day lodge, is open, serving a full menu!
  • The Pathfinder Bar is available for purchasing beer, wine, and cocktails.
  • The Prospector Grill is open from 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Continental Espresso Bar is open and serving up locally roasted Steep Coffee.  Stop in and try it out!
  • The Raven Roost and Raven Grill are closed for the season.
  • The Base Camp Building is open to picnickers and has vending machines available.
  • Treasure Sports has a great selection of new technical wear, as well as t-shirts, hats, and souvenirs.

Other Information:

  • Uphill traffic is permitted on Kelly Boyce to Divide Trail during lift operating hours. Purchase your uphill pass at the Ticket Office.
  • The Meadow Loop Nordic trail is open. It was  last groomed and track was set on March 15th. Expect bare spots and punchy snow. It is best in the early morning. To access the trail, nordic skiers will need to walk rather than ski to the Meadow Loop.

The Spring Fling Fun Race is Saturday, March 21st! As always, the race is free and open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages and ability levels. The race begins at 11 a.m. sharp!!

Ms. Mondays Clinic Series Returns with a Tot Day option for Moms!
Save the date for March 23rd at Wolf Creek Ski Area! Ladies, bring your skis or snowboard for a two-hour morning lesson, combined with a full-day, all-mountain lift ticket at a special rate of $118 for adults or $99 for seniors. Ladies should have a skill level of C or higher. If you are a Mom of a three or four year old, you can enroll your little one in a morning session of Wolf Pups for $115. If you would like to add your three or four year old to Tot Days please call 970-264-5639 or email wolfcreekski@wolfcreekski.com! Don’t forget Ms. Mondays & Tot Day will return the following Monday, March 30th!

Normally lifts are open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however there are periods of time when this schedule does not apply. The public may see lifts opening at 9:00 a.m. early season or during a big storm cycle.
