Parents have expressed concern after the government announced major changes to education, health and care plans (EHCPs), which almost 640,000 children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) currently have in place in England.
Hundreds of thousands fewer children with special educational needs and disabilities (Send) will be given education, health and care plans (EHCPs) as a result of long-awaited changes announced by the education secretary on Monday.
Under the proposals, children with education, health and care plans (EHCPs) will be reassessed under stricter criteria as they transition from primary to secondary school ... longer be eligible for EHCP.
