FAQ

What is the process if I have a crash? 
If your drone faces an issue, contact your reseller or Wingtra’s support team under support@wingtra.com. To process your request, you’ll need to provide some information, including a description of the incident, images of the damageand flight logs. Once submitted, your case is analyzed and, if applicable, replacements will be sent as quickly as possible. 

*What is NOT included in WingtraCARE coverage?

  • Damage beyond the USD 100,000 limit: user-fault damage exceeding USD 100,000 per year, per drone
  • Cosmetic damage: scratches, small cracks, or holes that don’t impact functionality
  • Import fees and taxes: fees incurred during shipping of parts or replacements
  • Intentional damage: any intentionally inflicted damage to the equipment
  • Non-standard operating conditions: damages from operating the drone in extreme weather (temperatures, rain, fog, altitude, high winds) beyond Wingtra’s specifications
  • Unauthorized modifications: damage from unapproved alterations or modifications to the hardware
  • Data loss or business interruption: any loss of data or business disruption during replacement
  • Third-party claims: damages or claims from third parties using the drone
    Non-Wingtra products: damage to non-Wingtra products used with Wingtra drones
  • Legal fees: costs related to litigation, arbitration, or enforcement of repair services
  • End of Life payloads: WingtraCARE does not apply to the payloads which have reached end-of-life (EOL) status.

What if I have my own spare drone or replacement parts?
WingtraCARE covers all hardware as long as WingtraCARE is active on your primary and spare drones. If there’s an incident, you can use your spare parts to avoid delays, and Wingtra will send replacements to keep your investment secured.

Can I transition from an old Wingtra coverage plan (accidental damage protection, TMP+, etc.)?
Yes, contact your Wingtra partner or Wingtra directly to explore your transition options.

What happens if I have purchased TMP+ and would like to upgrade to WingtraCARE?
Customers currently subscribed to TMP+ can continue renewing their package until 2027, with all current benefits intact. However, customers interested in transitioning to WingtraCARE can do so at their next renewal cycle, adopting all the benefits offered under the new plan. Customers deciding to transition, will lose the benefit of the pro-active wing replacement (WIN-EMP) after 4 years of warranty.

Is the LIDAR sensor covered?
Yes, LIDAR sensors are fully covered under WingtraCARE

Can I purchase WingtraCARE for a drone without a warranty?
No, WingtraCARE is only available for new drones or those with a valid warranty, second-year warranty, or TMP+. Contact your partner or Wingtra for limited-time offers or special eligibility options on drones without warranties.

Can I purchase TMP+ instead of WingtraCare?
Starting in 2025, TMP+ will no longer be available for new drones. However, if you purchased TMP+ in 2024 or earlier, you can still renew your contract up until 2027. You also have the option to switch to WingtraCare if you prefer.

What is the renewal process?
Customers and Wingtra partners receive a notification 90 days before the renewal date. If you wish to renew, no action is required—you’ll receive the invoice 30 days before the renewal date. To cancel, notify Wingtra and your Wingtra partner in writing at least one month before the renewal date.

What happens with other product protection products?
Customers can continue purchasing the second year warranty and accidental damage protection , with the applicable terms for each product still in place.

What will happen with TMP+?
TMP+ will be phased out , ending in October 2024. After that, only WingtraCare will be available for purchase. However, customers with existing TMP+ contracts can continue renewing them until 2027.
