I visited Vapa as a punter for once not as a demonstrator as I was in transit. I usually enjoy the show, but I was underwhelmed. There were very few demonstration or participation games unlike the past so very little inspiration was on offer. It was also the first show I have been to where I have left with zero purchases, nobody stocked Vallejo or the Javis scatter I use (there are usually 2-3). So a brief set of pictures of the games
First off is Ken (Yarkshire Gamer) with his splendid game of Germantown 1776.
A Battlegroup Northag game
The Italian Wars fought using Midgard
Another AWI game from the Brompton Bankers using Rebels & Patriots
Something unusual the naval battle of Harodate 1869
Chariot racing, photogrphed during a lull in gaming

Other Partisan 2025
A weekend away for Other Partisan starting on a Saturday drive to a Premier Inn then an afternoon and evening spent gaming then off to Other Partisan in the morning. As usual lots of interesting games to see and people to meet. Here is a dump of the pictures I took.
3rd Afghan War 1919 Leuthen 1757 Breeds Hill (or Bunker Hill if you prefer) - seems rather compressed north/south with Charlestown taking up more space, but looked pretty Eastern Front 1944 in 20mm Assault on Hillman 6th June 1944 - interesting as I had visited it just two weeks ago and had managed to visit a couple of the bunkers that wer inaccessible due to crops earlier in the year according to the organiser. Vietnam Marlboroughian League of Augsburg - Barry Hilton in action again The usual figures crossing the river First Corps - Russian 1941 Bodkins - Battle of Montargis 1427 Polish Soviet War 1920 ACW action Agincourt 1415 refought using Midgard Old Pikeys - Arnhem 1944 Caen 1944 - What a Tanker ACW - Brother against Brother Action at Ntombi - a what if the relief column met the Zulus Boondock Sayntes - Sudan
