Where I am in town for Capricon, where I will be doing a reading and signing and DJing a dance on Saturday night, because that’s my side gig, making nerds move rhythmically. If you’re at the convention, I hope to see you at one or all of these things. If you’re in town but not at the convention, well, you could be at the convention, couldn’t you? What else do you have to do on an early February weekend? Yes, I know of some sporting event or another, but the Bears aren’t in it, so does it really matter? Of course it does not. Come on down.

What else do I have to do? Catch up my grades and revise some activities. Create an amendment to our intellectual property policy that takes care of edge cases — faculty time is an institutional resource, but if all the faculty member is doing is giving advice? The committee feels that should not count but under current policy, it does.
Ha!!!! Go Birds! It is very green here in Philly this weekend. Even all of the lights in town!! Enjoy your weekend!!! I love Chicago. Especially the blues clubs!!
Heck of a view. I love Chicago. Good luck, John
Chicago is a bit far away from me, being in another country & all. Plus I’ll not be crossing the 49th Parallel any time in the next 4 years – why risk it, right?
Well, as much as I love Capricon (I went regularly when it was still at the Purple Hyatt), it’s a bit of a hike these days. Have a great time, John!!
The Bears? Don’t you mean Da’ Bears?
Or is it, Duh Bears? :D
That town’s a little too rugged…
John, I know you must be super-busy, but could you update the scheduled appearances section for 2025?
“Making Nerds Move Rhythmically” would be a great album title. Or tour name.
I lived in the suburbs as a kid. Hubby and I went to Capricon years ago, when Spider Robinson was there. We had great fun.
There is so much to see out there. We always tried to see Adler Planetarium, MSI, Field Museum, &/or Shedd Aquarium.
