
Anna Yeatman
Anna Yeatman is an emeritus professor in the School of Humanities Communication and Arts, Western Sydney University. Her current research is on: institutional design for a contemporary democratic society; how to participate in what Joanna Macy calls the 'the great turning' and Thomas Berry 'the great work' of human transition from modern forms of ecocide to becoming present to 'the planet in a mutually beneficial manner.' Her most recent book is Individualisation and the Delivery of Welfare Services (Palgrave 2009). She is the co-editor of several recent collections: Action and Appearance: Ethics and the Politics of Writing in Hannah Arendt (Continuum 2011); The Aporia of Rights: Explorations in Citizenship in the Era of Human Rights (Bloomsbury 2014); The Triumph of Managerialism? New Technologies of Government and their Implications for Value. She is also a trained Feldenkrais practitioner who has taught 'the Hasidic Culture of the Feldenkrais Method' in the SEAUS3 Melbourne Training.
