Toad King Castings are running a small Kickstarter to fund their Shamblers figures. These look great, and although I don't rpg anymore (they are apparently a classic D&D monster) I think I can find uses for them - random monsters in wilderness games, warband members in Woodland warbands just off the top of my head.
I backed their first KS which seemlessly brought some Giant toads to the pile, so I have now worries about this one.
8 days to go and funded!

Wild West Work
Look like I've some building to be getting on with! A fine addition to my Wild West mining setup. It'll get painted up at the same time as my TT Combat W.W. town.

15mm Skirmish Supplies is open for business.
I realise that all has been very quite here for the last months. There have been a few reasons for that but here is one of them!
I am glad to say that my new venture ,15mm Skirmish Supplies, is now open for business. The product list has been tailored for Skirmish wargamers. So more different poses for your figures. No wasting money on boxes of unwanted spares. A single place with many options.
At the moment we have Ral Partha's Demonworld in for Fantasy and Blue Moon Manufacturing Sci-Fi squads. We have also some Gothic Horror and World War II sets. Finally (for the moment) Amera provide affordable terrain options. More ranges will be coming in the future,
On a Wee Blokes note, things are starting to clear now, so whilst there may be a slight tweak in posts, I'll be looking to adding to the static on the information super highway again on a regular basis.

Future Kursk?
On the 70th Anniversary of the biggest tank battle in history, the BBC website has an interesting little piece about if such a battle could happen in the future and the viability of tanks in the modern military. There are also some nice tank photo's.

I'm back!
Not that I told you I was away (naughty I know).
Apologies to the regular readers for not scheduling any posts to appear during my absence, but I didn't have anything to post up. The blog posts running hand-to-mouth at the moment.
But where were you, I hear you cry? Well the Arabian tribe took off for a week to a quiet corner of Scotland in the Isle Of Whithorn for an Easter holiday break. No gaming news to report back I'm afraid, although there are a couple of items that we spied that may interest some viewers.
Whithorn and parts of the surrounding area were locations for some of the filming of the classic 1973 movie "The Wicker-man". The irony of this choice of location is that Whithorn was one of the first Christian communities in Scotland.
Also, just a few miles up the coast is the village of Garlieston. During World War II prototypes of the Mulberry Harbours were tested here with view to the invasion of Europe on D-day. Unfortunately storms have claimed the last remains that sat in the bay a few years ago, but the work there is given great mention.
