Die moderne Textlinguistik befasst sich unter anderem mit der Textsortenbeschreibung und ihrem in... more Die moderne Textlinguistik befasst sich unter anderem mit der Textsortenbeschreibung und ihrem interlingualen Vergleich, denn das Textsortenwissen macht einen Teil der sprachlichen Kompetenz aus und Erkenntnisse der Textsortenforschung liefern wichtige Informationen für Fremdsprachenvermittlung und Übersetzung sowie andere sprachliche Tätigkeit. Das Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es, nach der Auseinandersetzung mit Textbeschreibungsverfahren und ihrer anwendung auf die kontrastive Textsortenanalyse, einen Versuch zu unternehmen, Merkmale der Textsorte Klappentext festzustellen und ihre kulturspezifischen Besonderheiten im Deutschen und im Litauischen herauszufinden. Es wurden Klappentexte deutscher und litauischer linguistischer Bücher einer analyse nach situativen, funktionalen, thematischen und sprachlichen Gesichtspunkten unterzogen. Zur situativen Dimension gehören die Kommunikationsteilnehmer und der Kommunikationsbereich, die auch die Hauptfunktion des Textes bestimmen, die thematische Dimension betrifft die im Klappentext behandelten Teilthemen, die sprachliche Dimension in erster Linie die syntaktischen Einheiten der Klappentexte und ihren Bau.

This volume of selected papers of the conference Bridging Languages and Cultures brings together current viewpoints in Translation Studies, Linguistics, and Intercultural Communication; it provides both specific focus on certain aspects and developments and a more general overview of research landscape. Distinguished authors discuss translation of LSP texts, lexicological and lexicographic modules of bridging history and methodology of Translation Studies, aesthetic and interactional aspects of translation, and intercultural phenomena in the context of translation. The Editors Guntars Dreijers is Associate Professor at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences. Agnese Dubova and Jānis Veckrācis are Assistant Professors at the University.
