Sara Wenger is a PhD candidate in Political and Social Thought at Virginia Tech. Supported by a Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship, her dissertation interrogates consent, power, and companionship through the contentious existence of humanoid sex robots or “sexbots.”
