‘Twas but a chylde

The hobby started for me with Warhammer Fantasy Battles 5th Edition at age 8, and would continue to grow very slowly until I graduated High School and found myself pulled into college, full time work and plenty of real life problems.

I wouldn’t re-enter the hobby until the pandemic hit, and a bunch of friends found themselves with lots of extra time. Conveniently enough, I had a few tubs of minis in storage and falling back in with not only adult money, but also adult levels of concentration and the additional support of online community.

Inevitably and thankfully, I would navigate my way through the 40k competitive ‘scene’ and find the In Rust We Trust Discord where folks were more interested in the story surrounding their work and play, rather than just the win/loss ratios.

And here we are. Simply trying to find time between working freelance and raising a little family to create something without pressure or need.
