Hi! I attended Tanya’s workshop for game writing last month at Toronto Game Jam and found it very interesting. One slide in her deck recommended reaching out for support with promoting work.

I’ll confess, this is something I’m lost with. I have a demo for a game–narrative heavy, probably a bit too big of a project–and I don’t really know where to go from here. I want to keep working on it but I don’t want to feel like I’m doing so in isolation, for no reason.

This is probably stupid but I guess the big dream is to be able to develop this game with the support of some sort of organization like Vivid Foundry. I realize this is probably unrealistic but I figure, why not lead with that and walk back to reality. Any support or advice is appreciated!

Thanks so much for enjoying the article, your comment means so much to me! I would love to go into more detail with HYYH and also how BTS is extremely reflexive with their artistry, especially with the Map of the Soul: 7 + Agust D-2 era. I personally hope and believe that they’re going to continue to build on the HYYH era content, with the announcement trailer of NetMarble’s unnamed new BTS game! I will hope to take some time this summer to write a new update and part 2. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

I’m new to BTS and have been slowly going through all their content. Your article is so well written and especially helped me understand the HYYH era, which I mainly glossed over because I didn’t understand it, though I liked the songs Dope and Fire. Afrer reading your analysis, I’m now interested in looking at the HYYH era content with this new appreciation for the underlying meaning behind it all.
It’s been a few years since you wrote this article but it would still be great to read part 2. Your analysis is really helpful and insightful. I haven’t read anything like it so far, thank you for your writing!

Hi,

Thank you so much for reading this blog post, I’m humbled that you find this older piece of writing still relevant and interesting! There is honestly no better time to write about BTS and their growth in the past two years, and their sincerity in their art and message when it comes to #LoveYourself. I just hope to find the free time to do so soon!

Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve uploaded my BTS fanart onto this website yet, haha!

I love how accessible BTS had made their music, but also made it incredibly immersive with so many layers of detail, and textures as you say! They also deeply inspire with how they also don't discriminate against fans of any sort. I look forward to writing more about them! Thank you for your encouragement!

I honestly just stumbled into your blog and its beautiful. Im pretty new into BTS since my sisters finally got me hooked and I needed a new aesthetic reference. To be honest, I thought that songs were good enough to catapault them to the top (I dont understand korean so I just believed they were well written) but when my social media started exploding with ‘theories’ I figured there was more to it. To my shock their videos was so new to me. The aesthetics and whatever continuity I could pick up was breathtaking. Your article explains a lot more and now Im excited to back track on these textures I missed out.

Thank you, this article was so informative without being discriminating to a new fan such as myself.

I've been loving how they're expanding the universe with so many elements, including the LY:Her as you mentioned, not just through digital video alone. It's really a master class in creativity. I can't wait to write more about it!

In reply to Pauline. Thanks so much for your positive comment, and for being excited for the second part of this article! Spring Day is also one of my favorite BTS MVs, it's so deeply thought out! I'm also excited about Hixtape and I also anticipate the follow-up to Love Yourself: Her, which I am guessing would expand upon the HYYH story. I can't believe how much they've achieved since I wrote this article, there's going to be so much for my writing to cover!
