This could happen due to a big number of reasons, but I suspect it's a bug in the application's code that could be easily fixed with an update to the software. Unfortunately, there is no information related to the availability of an update for this particular application which I believe it's now discontinued.

Try installing latest Net Framework and latest versions of C++ Redistributable packages and then run the application again.
