The National Training Institute and the National Crime Victim Bar Association National Conference (NCVBA) are held in conjunction. Attendees of both trainings are welcome to attend sessions in either track, however, in order to receive continuing legal credits, attendees must be registered for the NCVBA Conference.

Continuing Education

The National Center for Victims of Crime is pleased to announce we will be offering CEU’s for the 2026 National Training Institute. The CEU provider is the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma (IVAT). Please see additional information below:

IVAT CEU Information

CEU Credits will be offered for the following professions:

  • Psychologists
  • Social Workers
  • Marriage and Family Therapists
  • Counselors

Presentations must meet certain requirements to be eligible for CEU credits, and not all sessions will be eligible for credit.

Additionally the National Training Institute has been approved for D-SAACP continuing education hours for DoD’s SARCs and SAPR VAs.

Can I pay for the conference by check?

Yes! Please fill out this form to request an invoice to pay by check. If you have questions regarding check payments, please email [email protected].

What is the conference’s cancellation policy?

The National Center for Victims of Crime does not provide refunds for cancelled registrations. If the registrant can no longer attend, we can transfer the registration to another participant. If you have any questions please email [email protected].

Are there any discounts available for registration?

Special discount codes are available for the following groups: NCVC members, Chicago locals, current or recent college graduates (within the last year), and active and former military and law enforcement officers. Please email [email protected] for more information and to receive the code. Please note that discount codes cannot be combined.

How can I register for the National Crime Victim Bar Association conference?

Please visit victimbar.org/conferences to register for the National Crime Victim Bar Association (NCVBA) Conference. Please note that only NCVBA members can attend the NCVBA Conference. If you’d like to register to be an NCVBA member, you can do so here.

Are continuing education credits available?

In collaboration with the Institute on Violence, Abuse, & Trauma (IVAT), the National Center for Victims of Crime offers Continuing Education (CE) credits as an add-on for $60. CE credits are available for psychologists, social workers, marriage & family therapists, and counselors. Please note that not all sessions may be eligible for CE credits. Additionally, the National Training Institute has been approved for D-SAACP continuing education hours for DoD’s SARCS and SAPR VAS.
