 Another article for the Norse dwarfs. With the revelation of well-kept secrets: the tons used for certain beards !

Red beard

- base VMC Chocolate brown + VGC Parasite brown

- second base with VGC Parasite brown, highlighted several times with VGC Pale yellow

- final highlight by adding VMC Ivory.

Blond beard

- base VMC Japanese uniform

- GW Agrax Earthshade 

- highlights VGC Pale yellow

- Final highlight by adding VMC Ivory.

The most recurrent leather, especially for boots

- base VMC Chocolate brown

- GW Nuln Oil

THE NORSE : DWARFS

For this article, I continue with the Nordic dwarfs painted last year, bringing out some pictures of work in progress.

On the two photos below, we see the cream beige and black that we find on almost the entire unit, especially on the shields.

The beige is very simple, it is several diluted coats of VMC 821 German Cam Beige WWII, gradually lightened with VMC 70918 Ivory.

The black is simply highlighted with VMC 70994 Dark grey, then with a little Ivory.

In fact, almost everything (skin, leather, beard...) is lightened at some point with Ivory, this helps to reinforce a form of chromatic coherence.

More Dwarves

Another part of my army, dwarves with crossbows. And (again) creepy bases.

Pictures taken using my first purchase of the year, a foldable and cheap light box. Very useful.

Old stuff : Dwarves !

Now, let's go back to dwarves. Painted some years ago, Bugman's rangers and miners.

As you can see, their bases should be redone. Maybe there will be an operation "pimp my dwarves" for 2018 :)

I've got more dwarves, painted many, many years ago. They need an upgrade !
