The third conference of the Junge Deutsche Orient-Gesellschaft (jDOG) will be hosted by the Bibliotheca Albertina, University Library of Leipzig, 6 to 10 January 2027.

JDOG was established in 2024 as a community of students in the fields of Ancient Near Eastern Studies (Assyriology), Near Eastern Archaeology, and related disciplines under the umbrella of the Deutsche Orient-Gesellschaft. It is dedicated to fostering exchange, collaboration, and networking at an early stage of academic training.

• The call for papers is primarily addressed to students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programmes who wish to gain first experiences in academic presentation. The conference languages are German and English.
• Submissions must be sent by email to [email protected], deadline 31/07/2026.
