Save the Date: Vancouver Post Alliance Annual General Meeting

Monday, April 27
6:30 PM
Creekside Community Centre, Vancouver

We’d love for you to join us.

Join us for the Vancouver Post Alliance Annual General Meeting on Monday, April 27. Exclusively for VPA members, the AGM is a great opportunity to connect with fellow members and board representatives, hear about the work and initiatives the VPA has undertaken over the past year, and learn about our plans for the year ahead.

We’ll also share an overview of each committee’s work and introduce the nominees for the 2026 Board of Directors, giving members a chance to meet them in person before casting their vote.

Interested in helping shape the future of the VPA? Applications for board nominations open March 27, and voting for the new Board of Directors will take place online following the AGM.

After the meeting, we’ll continue the conversation with a Town Hall discussion, where members are invited to ask questions, share feedback, and bring forward ideas. Your perspective helps shape the direction of the VPA, and we’d love to hear from you.

Warm regards,
The VPA Board of Directors

TUNE IN
Cheetah Fast and Wild
CBC on 2 April, 9:00 PM and on CBC Gem.

Directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Joe Kennedy, "Cheetah Fast and Wild" provides exclusive access to a process many experts once called impossible: “wilding” captive-born cheetahs to become successful, self-sufficient hunters.

The documentary follows the emotional and perilous journey of Lilly and Iris, two orphaned cheetah sisters. Now, after two years in captivity, they have a shot at living wild. We follow these cats as they undergo the trials of learning to live as wild cheetahs.

The Vancouver post-production team included a host of VPA talent:

Editor: Kelly Morris
Colorist: Lionel Barton
Conform Artist: Jeremy Chen
Finishing Producer: Daryl Smith
Executive Producer: Brad Goodman

Image Engine Presents: Exploring the Horrors in Keeper

Vancouver Post Alliance is pleased to share an upcoming Film Talk on Saturday, March 28.

Join production VFX Supervisor and VPA Member Ed Douglas, along with Image Engine’s Jenn Taylor (VFX supervisor) and Brian Sepanzyk (VFX producer), for a deeper look at the horrors in Keeper.

In Keeper, a folk-horror story filmed in Vancouver, a woman’s reality begins to fracture as a secluded cabin getaway descends into visceral psychological unravelling. Rather than pursuing spectacle, director Osgood Perkins and VFX supervisor Ed Douglas focused on building tension and emotional weight over shock value.

From early concept art and real-world references to performance-driven animation and final integration, the VFX panel will explore how collaborative trust helped shape creature effects that amplify psychological impact, proving that the most powerful storytelling often comes from what feels disturbingly real.

Saturday, March 28 - 1:30 PM
Roundhouse · Performance Theatre
181 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver

Tickets: $20 at the link in our Bio, or available at the door
