This tutorial explains how to use a remote app on your V2 Cloud desktop and restrict user access to specific applications only. Users will not see the complete desktop, but only the applications you select for them.
1. Log in as an Administrator on your Cloud computer.
In this example, we will use the Google Chrome application. Create a shortcut for the application and place it in a folder all intended users can access.

1. Go to the V2 Cloud Dashboard and click on the Apps tab. Then, click on Add a new remote application.

2. Fill in the fields as follows:

3. Then, do the same with the name of the shortcut:

4. Add .lnk at the end of the path. It should look like the image below:

5. Select Apply to all users if you want the Remote App to be available to all users. If you want to enable the Remote App for a specific user only, leave this option unchecked.
6. Click Submit.
1. On the Dashboard, click on the Users tab.

2. Find the specific user and click on the Action button, then select Edit user.
3. In the Remote apps drop-down menu, select Google Chrome. (You can select as many applications as you want; the user will be prompted to choose which application to use after logging in with the V2 Cloud Desktop app.)
NOTE: Please wait 5 minutes before connecting with the user to the new remote app. The task takes a few minutes to complete in our backend.

4. Click Submit.
1. Ask the user to log in and test the application. Once logged in, it will look like this:

2. If the user has multiple Remote Apps assigned, they will appear as follows after logging in with the V2 Cloud Desktop app:
