PTT Rocker Switch

UTVCOM has created a Push To Talk (PTT) Rocker switch mount. The PTT rocker includes a 2 pole 22 gauge wire with spade connectors  that can be mounted to any standard rocker switch slot. The PTT rocker also includes 2 ft 16 gauge ground (black wire) and hot (red wire) that can be connected to the vehicle to light up the “PTT” icon. The PTT rocker is a momentary switch which means it is spring loaded to click off once depressed.

PTT Rocker Switch comes with:

• 1 PTT momentary rocker switch button (1-inch wide 1.6-inches long 1.7-inches deep) with 5 spade connectors:
  • Pins 2 and 3 connect to the 3.5 mm low voltage spades.
  • Pin 6 connects to the Red 16 gauge spade and goes to the vehicle ACC or power.
  • Pin 7 connects to the Black 16 gauge spade and goes to the vehicle ground.
• straight cord with the two pole 3.5-mm is 5 feet long (connect this to the back of the intercom that says PTT)
  • PTT port on the intercom may be split with a 4 PTT splitter to add up to 4 PTT’s to the intercom

Remember to always strain relief the PTT button with hook and loop, zip ties or some other type of fastener so the wires do not pull out of the button.
