My academic writing thus far has been in the sociology, philosophy, and psychology of religion, with a focus on new religious movements and mysticism.
I also talk about future studies and emerging technologies (see my Twitter profile), and hope to soon produce academic writing that connects futurology, spirituality, economics, and philosophy (political, metaphysical, epistemological).

Papers by Justin S Aptaker
This examination of Magliocco's sociological analysis brings an additional cross-disciplinary element by suggesting that personality traits are a salient factor in the adoption of and development of individual Pagan identities. The titular "Openness to Experience" refers to the Openness construct from Costa and McCrae's ubiquitous five factor model (FFM) of personality. A special relationship between analytical psychology and Pagan identities is also considered.
Further etic approaches may be justified in order to further substantiate the theory of a direct relationship between the Openness construct and Pagan identity formation.
This paper also discusses Magliocco's findings in light of a range of western philosophical schools of thought.
Citations that have only page numbers refer to those two works.

Notable Undergrad Assignments by Justin S Aptaker
Nothing particularly groundbreaking, but it does show that, at least at some point in my life, I knew a bit about classical Greek language. Actually, I've retained what seems to me an astonishing amount of it to this day, but I'd have to do some real catch-up to get back to the level of proficiency used for this assignment.
