In this paper, we study the localization problem of mobile agents in ad hoc mobile networks; an object which has a double mobility is to be located, first, in relation to the mobility of its physical support in a dynamic environment, the station, and that of the code through the network stations. A performances evaluation, based upon a simulation, of proposed localization protocols show that the centralized approach in a distributed form is more interesting than a totally centralized approach.

Researchers have studied them for several years ago, but more work still needed to be made since open opportunities to integrate new technologies are added to this field. One challenging task is WSN deployment. Yet, this is done by real deployment with testbeds platforms or by simulation tools when real deployment could be costly and time-consuming. In this paper, we review the implementation and evaluation process in WSNs. We then describe relevant testbeds and simulation tools, and their features. Lastly, we conduct an experimentation study using these testbeds and simulations to highlight their pro and cons. As a use case, we implement a localization protocol. This work gives clarity to future-work for better implementation in order to improve reliability, accuracy and time consumed.

This kind of networks is composed of many sensors which are deployed heavily in an area of interest. They collect and disseminate the required data for many applications. Hence, the research on wireless sensor networks is actually an interesting and attractive area, as several problems must be overcome. Determining the physical localization of a sensor is a fundamental function and a challenging issue that was addressed by many applications. Thus, numerous systems and algorithms of localization were proposed in the literature. In this paper, we study the basic technologies used for the localization of sensor nodes. Then, we examine some important algorithms while summarizing the parameters that we use for their classification. At the end, we conduct a comparison between all the studied algorithms, and we are going to give the directions of our future research.

They are involved in all aspects of our daily lives and make it easier. Despite the great strides in these networks, several problems arose and are remained open. The localization of sensor networks nodes is one of the most challenging problem that has attracted many researches. Consequently, a lot of work has been carried out to provide accurate location information of sensors and sensing field. In this paper, we present a taxonomy of the most important localization technologies proposed for WSNs. We survey different published localization algorithms in the literature while giving an up-to-date with the most recent schemes. Then we highlight their characteristics and describe metrics used for their classification. A complete comparison will be given and also directions of future research will be discussed.

Dans ce papier nous avons effectué une étude comparative entre les deux protocoles de localisation AT-Free et HT-Refine. Nous avons évalué les performances et discuter les résultats obtenus par simulation.
