El primero, la soberbia interpretativa, analiza un problema central en la psicología social relacionada con la forma en que "persona" (como término, como concepto, como noción, etc.), es usado en la disciplina. Generalmente las personas son concebidas como "idiotas culturales" y no hay razones de peso para hacerlo así. El segundo, la incultura en la psicología aborda otro problema, pero relacionado con el anterior. En este apartado la discusión está orientada a reconocer que en las diferentes formas de 'construir conocimiento' en psicología social, la cultura como referencia, como variable, como un elemento importante de análisis no existe. El tercero, la ausencia de espíritu fenomenológico, tal como los otros dos apartados, es crítico con la psicología social, pero en este apartado la discusión enfatiza en la relevancia de la fenomenología para construir conocimiento de otra forma. This article finds fault with three practices in social psychology. The first, interpretative condescension, is visible in social psychology's use of the "person" as a term, concept, notion, and so on. Generally, "persons" are taken to be "cultural dopes", for no compelling reason or justification. The second questionable practice, the absence of culture in psychology is the failure, in various kinds of social psychology research, to acknowledge the role or indeed the existence of 'culture'. The third, the absence of phenomenological spirit, is another critical absence, but I use it as a point of departure in search of new ways of building social psychological knowledge.

Laboratory of Comparative Human Cognition (LCHC), it is mentioned

activities. The three authors of this paper visited LCHC between September
of 1983 and June of 1987. This work examines how our contact with the
LCHC at that time, impacted on our vital trajectories in terms of theoretical
approaching and research production, in addition to triggering a sort of
cascade of dissemination of the Socio-Cultural perspective in Psychology
and Education in our country and Latin America.

En el presente artículo se intenta abordar un profundo análisis de la alfabetización de adultos q... more En el presente artículo se intenta abordar un profundo análisis de la alfabetización de adultos que permita suponer los prejuicios desarrollados por la sociedad alfabetizada (ilustrada o �pseudoilustrada�) acerca del analfabetismo. Para llevar a cabo este análisis es necesario adoptar una perspectiva que tome en consideración las diversas funciones de la alfabetización y la diversidad de géneros discursivos que se expresan a través del texto escrito. Para ello hay que superar, en primer lugar, las limitaciones de una perspectiva socio-histórica centrada casi exclusivamente en el texto expositivo y, en segundo lugar, prestar gran atención a los textos narrativos creados por los alumnos de los centros de adultos como vía para promover el encuentro de voces (autor y lector) y la toma de conciencia sobre sucesos y práctica de la vida cotidiana. This paper invites readers to reconsider the role of Art in the learning of social sciences in hi... more This paper invites readers to reconsider the role of Art in the learning of social sciences in higher education based on the ability of the arts to promote understanding among students about their world of life.The new pathways opened up by multimodality offer access to vast repositories of images such as Flickr (Davies, 2007; Castañeda, 2009), and museums that exhibit high quality reproductions of their art collections (Google Art Project). Furthermore, students can express themselves by combining their own images with text (multiliteracies –The New London Group, 1996; Leander, K & Boldt, G., 2012). Multimodal literacy represents a powerful tool to observe and record of all kinds of interesting events for social science students that can be shared and debated on social media. Moreover, following John Dewey (1980) about aesthetic experience, the new form of literacy, as result of combining imagens and texts, represents an excellent way to trigger sensible and aesthetic feelings.
