In order to highlight the Romanian tourism potential and the necessity to turn this potential into actual sources of income for the national economy this paper presents a few aspects of the evolution's tourism in Europe and Romania, also some particularities of the main Romanian tourist destinations. development that seems to outline an emerging study field, and especially a flourishing
industry of training business, but with many different approaches more or less related to
individual needs and perceptions. After synthesizing of SciVerse Hub statistics on publications and
research areas referring to personal development, we review few conceptual approaches

The starting point was a survey on students from the University of Petrosani (undergraduate in economics, Management specialization) concerning the generic skills required to start-up and successfully run a small business. The results of the survey argued for an additional documentary research on the national projects and achievements, and also on the EC recommendations and future agenda related to the explored subject. Accordingly, the paper is structured as follows: first, we present the research methodology and the main findings of our survey, then we point out conceptual and practical guidelines for entrepreneurship education, and finally we discuss particular implications for our country.

We performed a brief literature review with focus on conceptual frameworks of corporate social responsibility (CSR), a context analysis in European Union (EU), and a research on websites of the top 50 most profitable companies in Romania in 2013. Results suggest that systematic actions of non-financial reporting on CSR and/or sustainability related issues are performed primarily by large profitable multinationals at corporate level - generally without available data on Romanian websites of their subsidiaries.

The paper aims to present the main conceptual approaches in the field of student support services and international examples related to mentoring and tutoring. In addition, we discuss the results of a small-scale experiment conducted in order to test the availability and capability for building a relationship of educational partnership. Such a partnership appears as an essential element of the referred services in the context of promoting a student-centered education as the prerequisite of quality in higher education.

While such studies have evidenced a lot of factors of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation having different influences on different people, the motivating practices within organizations were long time focused on common extrinsic motivators such as usual rewards (in the form of money or promotion to higher grades/functions) and threat of punishment. However, during the past few decades more and more organizations worldwide became interested to use some forms and tools of intrinsic motivation for their employees, including recognition programs. Our paper aims to present and discuss how a Romanian organization developed and implemented such a program, based on the popular U.S. organizational practices of contests type "Employee of the Month". Particularly, the study focuses on the specificity of this approach which combines elements of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and also attempts to sketch a "profile of the winner employee", based on statistical analysis of data for people who benefited the awards through the program application during 2008-2011.

The companies are being compelled to look for ways to survive in an uncertain environment, so our paper underlines the „force” of human resources through organizational change in the TQM context.

In particular, we focus on some key-challenges of implementing Bologna process related to such services, especially to the issues of academic advising (AA). According to the recent reports, many European universities offer an apparently extended range of SSS, but these may be poorly developed or adapted to the various needs of students. By revealing the main developments of AA conceptual approaches and practices in the USA, as those developed and applied by important organizations such as National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), or Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS), we attempt to provide a useful frame of reference for our universities.

Thus, we describe the quality movement from inspection to statistical quality control and the "Japanese Age" of quality followed then by Total Quality Control (TQC) and TQM developments that drived to the models of BE. After that, we present some perspectives of defining the excellence at national and international level and an overview of BE models with focus on the referential ones. Finally, we attempt to sketch the coordinates of the "journey" through TQM towards excellence in Romania.
