A bacteriologic analysis of the gallbladder bile in eighty patients who underwent operation was p... more A bacteriologic analysis of the gallbladder bile in eighty patients who underwent operation was performed in a prospective study. In all twenty patients with a normal gallbladder as assessed by oral cholecystography and intraoperative palpation, cultured were negative. Among patients with chronic cholecystitis only 30 per cent had positive bile cultures and this rose to 47 per cent among patients with acute cholecystitis.

In each case the esophagus was evaluated radiologically and manometrically. None of the patients had esophageal symptoms and no significant change in resting gastroesophageal sphincter pressure was observed during the study. However in 3 patients incomplete sphincteric relaxation was noted. Normal progressive contractions did not change. The importance of these findings are discussed.

RESUMEN: Tras el estudio de los hayedos prepirenaicos aragoneses (provincias de Zaragoza y Huesca... more RESUMEN: Tras el estudio de los hayedos prepirenaicos aragoneses (provincias de Zaragoza y Huesca), los autores presentan una tabla de más de 50 inventarios correspondiente al Buxo-Fagetum sylvaticae y explican su composición florística, hábitat y fitotopografía. También se dan tres inventarios del Sdllo-Fagetum svtvattcae, mucho más localizado en esta región. Por último, se describe su estado de conservación y se dan algunas recomendaciones para su protección.

L a agricultura natural propugnada por MASANO-BU FUKUOKA en La revolución de una brizna de paja, donde se describen 40 años de agricultura del 'no-hacer', es justamente este tipo de agricultura, y fue ésta inspiración directa la que motivó a EMILIA HAZELIP a desarrollar la Agricultura Sinérgica, que ella describió como un intento de adaptar el trabajo de Fukuoka al clima templado. Lamentablemente EMILIA nos dejó hace casi 3 años y FUKUOKA, aunque esté aún con nosotros, a sus 92 años ya no puede viajar y enseñar como antes. Por mi parte yo también estuve inspirado por el ejemplo de FUKUOKA y mi amistad con Emilia, y a través de los contactos de los seguidores de FUKUOKA en Japón, la cooperación con la 'Scuola Emilia Hazelip' en Italia y como miembro de la asociación de permacultura 'Las Encantadas' aquí en Francia, tengo la esperanza de continuar esta tradición de agricultura natural, escribiendo, enseñando y, lo más importante, con la creación de un ejemplo que funciona de granja para la experimentación de la agricultura natural de clima templado.
