The literature links adolescent anxiety to family relationships, interactions, and dynamics. The self-esteem of adolescents appears to protect their mental health. Goal: This study examines whether family cohesion and adaptability affect adolescent anxiety symptoms. It also examines whether teen self-esteem mediates this relationship. Method: This cross-sectional, descriptive study included 166 Attica youth aged 12-18 from schools and educational units. The adolescents completed Olson's FACES-III cohesion and adaptability scale, Spielberger's STAI-C, Rosenberg's self-esteem scale, and a socio-demographic questionnaire. Results: Family cohesion, but not adaptability, was negatively correlated with state (rho = -0.25, p = 0.001) and trait (rho = -0.46, p < 0.001) anxiety in the adolescents. Teenagers from extreme families with the lowest cohesion and adaptability had higher trait anxiety (x 2 (2) = 6.91, p = 0.032) than those from moderately balanced/balanced families. Self-esteem mediated the relationship between the family cohesion functioning and adolescent's state anxiety (p = 0.005) and trait anxiety (p = 0.011). Conclusions: The findings show that family dysfunction negatively impacts adolescent anxiety, as well as their self-esteem, which protects mental balance.

Mapping all the cell-to-cell communication networksthe brain circuits that process all thoughts, emotions, and behaviorsis one of the most significant challenges of contemporary neuroscience. Neuroplasticity, the brain's capacity to form new neural connections and circuits, is the starting point and foundation of any learning process. Neuroscience can serve as a foundation for education in the same way that biology serves as a foundation for medicine, meaning that each field retains its creativity but cannot violate the laws of the other. This work examines the relationship between neuroscience and educational practice, focusing on how teachers and school psychologists can use potential research findings from these fields to bridge the gap between them.

It refers to information processing capacity arising from the emotions and their utility to guide action in situations that require activation of the cognitive system. The purpose of the present research work is the application of Machine Learning and Data Mining methods for the evaluation of emotional IQ in a sample of students and social network consumers (age 18-26 years). Understanding how users behave when they connect to social networking sites creates opportunities for better interface design, richer studies of social interactions, and improved design of content distribution systems. The data were collected by completion of the self-report questionnaire Trait Emotional Intelligence (TEIQue), and used for the application of data mining methods. Specifically, for the collection of data electronic questionnaire TEIQue being created through Google Forms service and posted through the website ,. Then the collected data were selected for analysis, with relevant transformations in order to have a suitable form for the implementation of the respective machine learning algorithms included in the software package R. Furthermore, the parameters of the corresponding set of algorithms were determined depending on the case of application to produce inference rules. Some of the algorithms implemented according to specific research questions that were applied, were the classification algorithms (ID3 and J48) for the production of decision trees, regarding the four more general factors (welfare, self-control, emotionality and sociability) and in overall emotional intelligence. The results obtained, after weighing and criteria basis, present consumers' rates, which in turn analyze the degree of emotional intelligence.

The Greek adaptation of Echelle Toulousaine de Coping (ETC) was employed to assess coping strategies as well as various aspects of coping, including action, information-seeking and seeking support from family and friends. Results showed that female students tended to report significantly higher levels of coping than male students, both positive and negative. Although students did not significantly differ in terms of particular coping styles, significant gender differences were found for individual aspects of coping. Interestingly, women showed preference to emotion-focused strategies, such as seeking social support or engaging in activities to distract themselves from stressors. It was concluded that providing students with effective ways of managing stress is important for targeting counselling interventions
