Libraries have always intended to provide qualitative services and frequently run surveys that measure the opinion of their users. Our contribution aims to show how the findings of a survey can be aligned with information from other assessment tools to better inform library management. We analyze external data of our Library's performance as collected by an electronically conducted survey in May 2018. The initial objective was Increasing Library Intelligence by Harmonizing Assessment Tools

Low and fragmented logo recognition perils the entire plan. This work aims to provide a "classification" of European consumers as regards logo awareness based on generic demographic and socioeconomic characteristics and to test hypotheses relating PDO awareness with the purchasing behaviour of consumers. Design/methodology/approach-The work utilises publicly available pan-European databases collected from Eurobarometer in four rolling surveys from 2012 to 2017. The statistical analysis exploits the spatially nested nature of the data. Findings-The "logo aware" consumer is distinctively different from the average representative European consumer. A range of demographic, human capital and socioeconomic characteristics and behavioural and attitudinal traits differentiate the consumers who are aware of the logo. Country and region effects are vital. Research limitations/implications-Benefits of large and representative samples accrue by utilising available Eurobarometer surveys. This comes at a cost. The individual researcher has no control over the questions included in the questionnaire. Practical implications-Consumer classification forms the basis of awareness-raising strategies. It reveals the numerous segments of aware and non-aware consumers and opens a discussion about tools and methods to reach out to the European consumer. Originality/value-This analysis holds an exact pan-European perspective and incorporates consumers' characteristics, behaviour, attitudes and country and region effects.

STUDY DESIGN A retrospective analysis of prospectively collected cohort data was performed enrolling all participants in an oocyte donation program performed either D5ET or D3ET regarding the period from June 2006 to June 2018. Cycles were compared by the day of embryo transfer. Primary outcomes were the clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate. Secondary outcomes were implantation rate, biochemical pregnancy rate, early miscarriage rate, and twin pregnancy rate. Outcomes were adjusted for covariates within study groups. RESULTS A total of 8023 cycles meeting our inclusion criteria were analyzed. D5ET consisted of 4865 cycles and D3ET of 3158 cycles. The D5ET group had a significantly higher clinical pregnancy rate (p < .001), live birth rate (p = .004), implantation rate (p < .001), and twin pregnancy rate (p = .02) than the D3ET group. Accordingly, biochemical pregnancy rate (7.4% vs. 5.1%, p < .001) and early miscarriage rate (4.1% vs. 3.2%, p = .04) were significantly higher in D3ET compared to the D5ET group. CONCLUSION Οocyte donation cycles with fresh D5ET resulted in fewer embryos transferred, higher clinical pregnancy rates, and higher live birth rates compared to D3ET. Our findings are strongly favoring day-5 embryo transfer in oocyte donation cycles.

Innovative activity is categorized in fives classes of product and market innovation. Both areas are characterized by extreme rurality and peripherality but the one is more accessible by the market of two urban agglomerations while the other one is very remote. Empirical evidence is drawn from a survey of 100 enterprises in the manufacturing and service sectors. Product and market innovation is facilitated by the operation of various types of business networks and influenced by a range of entrepreneurial and enterprise specific characteristics. In turn, innovative activity has an impact on conventional measures of business performance. Policy implications for a territorially specific business innovation support strategy are drawn. Th... more In 1999, the Agri-Food 2010 Committee highlighted a number of weaknesses in Irish agriculture. These included lack of commercial viability because of small farm size, low level of productivity due to poor age structure, low educational level of farmers and lack of land mobility ((DAFRD, 2000). An additional weakness identified by this committee was the poor age structure within Irish farmers. This was described as a "persistent weakness" in Irish agriculture. By the late 1990s, it was estimated that farmers over 65 years of age controlled close to 20% of Irish farmland and approximately 12% of Irish farmers were less than 35 years of age (DAFRD, (2000) CAP Rural Development Plan (2000Plan ( -2006)). The Early Retirement Scheme (ERS) is one of four structural measures contained in the CAP Rural Development Plan 2000-2006. Its objective is to consolidate farmland and improve agricultural structures by attracting younger, more qualified farmers into farming thus eventually contributing to long-term structural change within Irish agriculture. Accounting for 30% of the overall funding across the four CAP RDP 2000-2006 measures, ERS is complemented by the Installation Aid Scheme (IAS) (a submeasure designed to encourage young farmers into farming). By December 2002, 1,257 transferors had availed of the ERS compared to a target of 8,300 for the 2000-2006, and 1,424 transferees had participated compared with a 2006 target of 8,200. In addition to this, regional disparities in terms of scheme uptake also were beginning to emerge. This paper outlines the history of farm based early retirement initiatives from the 1974 Irish Government's New Voluntary Retirement Scheme for Farmers (NVRS) under Directive 72/160/EEC, through to the current measure administered under the CAP Rural Development Plan 2000-2006. The paper explores the role of these schemes in consolidating land and attracting younger more qualified people into farming. It concludes with a discussion of some of the successes and shortcomings of the most recent measure in achieving structural change on Irish farms 1 . 1 Based on the Mid Term Evaluation of the CAP Rural Development Plan (2000-2006) undertaken by AFCon Management Consultants & the Department Food Business & Development, UCC in September 2003. Descriptive statistical analysis via SPSS was conducted to find the key measurements and to explore deeper the various associations. At the same time, we compared the scores of library performance as reflected in internal managerial as...

It is assumed that businesses access many networks in order to pursue their short and long term entrepreneurial objectives. The most important spatial features of this businessnetwork relationship are firstly the spatial coverage of the network and secondly the location of the business in relation to its markets. As concerns the spatial coverage of the networks we distinguish between vertical and horizontal business networks.
