Understanding how different body systems interact during musculoskeletal movements can directly inform a variety of research fields including: injury etiology, injury prevention and therapeutic exercise prescription. While reductionism breaks down movements into isolated components, this approach fails to capture the intricate complexities and dynamic interactions within the musculoskeletal system. Instead, a holistic philosophy is necessary, considering the interconnected nature of the system as a whole. Central to this latter, this report is about the concept of 'Biotensegrity', and its Hierarchic Systems in the musculo-skeletal System around the Spine, which suggests that the musculoskeletal system is held together by the tension-dependent resting muscle tone and compression leading to global patterns during movement.
