Heather Majaury

Heather Majaury lives in Waterloo Ontario Canada. She completed her Masters at the University of Guelph in 2013. She is currently working on a one woman show that is scheduled for full production and presentation with MT Space on February 2015. She has recently started a new theatre production company called the Kaleidoscope Collective with several other professional performing artists in Waterloo Region focused on presenting female focused stories from a variety of diverse perspectives while encouraging Women in leadership in the performing arts. Heather is particularly interested in building her practice as an applied theatre practitioner focused on interactive dramaturgy. She is focusing on developing customized theatre projects with several partners that focus on positive social change and transformative learning. She believes theatre practice really does generate the space for innovative problem solving. She draws strength and perspective from traditional Anishinaabeg epistimology, that is deeply re-humanizing.  She is very passionate about furthering the Legislative Theatre experiment by creating further opportunities to create work and build partnerships.
