We believe that such an approach should be reconsidered, as recent research (which has investigated not only the active media consumption by young citizens but also the hierarchy of media they establish in relation to their several interests) has revealed that, although the time they dedicate to watching television is greater than that dedicated to the Internet, the youth regard watching television as a habit “of the past,” whereas the personal computer is the device that fits their leisure needs and audiovisual consumption. In this sense, the data show that young people perceive television consumption as an activity related to common spaces within the household, supplied in a way that does not match their interests. As applied to informative communication, Gomis (1994) shows how journalism develops and operates its own rhetoric. With the arrival of the Internet and specifically with the opening of public communication to the average citizen, the use of participation as a rhetorical resource gains prominence and at the same time users add the rhetorical uses to their contributions. This article focuses on user comments in the front page of ElPaís.com, Abc.es and Lavanguardia.es with two objectives: to detect patterns of participation (in reference to the volume and to the presence of popular topics that generate a greater number of contributions) and to observe the rhetorical uses that are included in the comments of the readers to determine the predominant kind of participation
The term ?interactivity? has been used with profusion in application to several situations. The l... more The term ?interactivity? has been used with profusion in application to several situations. The lack of unanimity from a theoretical perspective makes the delimitation of the concept difficult. In this research, a definition it proposed that, based on ideas formulated in the cybernetics, recognizes the possibility of communication with persons and with the machine as well as the importance of the technology in the explanation of the term. The implications of interactivity on the control of communication and the possibilities associated with the use of the distribution platforms justify their interest as an object of study in their application to the journalistic field. For this reason, the supply of interactive resources and dissemination tools is analysed in Spanish online newspapers since they have proved to be at the forefront of using of digital applications. The study utilizes a multi-methodological design that combines quantitative and qualitative approaches and allows the creation of an overall interpretation that explains the behaviour of the Spanish online press. The research registers more openness in the newspapers and this is justified by the most widespread consideration that understands participation as an informative model of Web. The supply is determined by a lot of factors, including the media profile, the ownership and the position of the newspaper in the market. The resources that use ?push? options and facilitate the personalization in the information diffusion dominate in the distribution platforms. The UGC tools and the interactivity in the contents still show low levels of implementation in spite of the progress of the ?comment? option. There is an interest for the preferences of the users in the decisions on the selection and hierarchy of the contents. Nevertheless, it isn?t possible to talk of incorporation of the user in the media on account of the lack of compensation for his contributions, the slim use of the reader created messages and the delimitation of this and participation areas The doctoral thesis has been developed with the support of Ministry of Education?s pre-doctoral scholarship (BFPU AP2005-4591). One of the important developments in assisted reproductive technology is the technique of oocyte ... more One of the important developments in assisted reproductive technology is the technique of oocyte preservation, which enables women to preserve their eggs when there is a threat of becoming infertile in the future. In spite of the still experimental status of this procedure, fertility clinics widely recommend it to healthy women who wish to postpone childbearing for social reasons. Since in fertility clinic's websites appear extensive recommendations and promotion about this technology, it seems important to analyze their online persuasive communication. Our analysis applies a mixed methodology of content and discourse analysis from a framing theory perspective. It provides an in-depth analysis of the content of fertility clinics' websites in Spain, describing their communication/information strategies regarding fertility preservation for social reasons. The present article confirms the inconsistency that exists in terms of the clarity of the information given by these websites, since the information is framed intending to attract more women to the egg freezing services.

La popularidad del término ha desdibujado las fronteras de un concepto que no sólo incide en la dimensión sino también en el valor de los datos recopilados y procesados. Los social media, caracterizados por su rápida expansión y por la variedad de interacciones y de contenidos que en ellos circulan, se han incorporado al estudio del big data al convertirse en fuente de datos útiles para investigadores, entidades y empresas. Se observan las singularidades propias del análisis de los medios sociales dentro del big data y, tras escrutar recursos de medición existentes, se reflexiona sobre la oportunidad y necesidad de una solución que permita examinar tendencias y el impacto de perfiles que configuran amplias redes de usuarios.

Pero no solo es fundamental ver lo que reflejan sino también quién cuenta la información y en qué condiciones. Ello implica descubrir si las mujeres tienen presencia, visibilidad y poder de decisión en las redacciones de los medios. Un tema que se está abordando en los últimos años y sobre el que se están produciendo algunos avances desde el ámbito normativo.

Así, se examinan los retos metodológicos de la enseñanza CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) combinada con la subtitulación accesible de contenido audiovisual de Netflix y la extensión de Google Chrome Language Learning with Netflix. Con objeto de comprobar su eficacia en la mejora de competencias tecnológicas, lingüísticas y el grado de interés mostrado por el aprendizaje de segundas lenguas, se realizó una actividad en la que participaron 75 estudiantes de la Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación de la Universidad de Granada. Los resultados, extraídos a través de un cuestionario realizado exprofeso evidenciaron diferencias entre las diferentes destrezas analizadas, destacando la mejora en la comprensión oral. En este contexto, los llamados social media han experimentado un rápido crecimiento al aumentar no sólo el número de usuarios sino también de las interacciones que a través de ellos se mantienen. Aunque idealmente el incremento del flujo comunicativo facilitaría el enriquecimiento del discurso y la pluralidad de opiniones, nuevos estudios analizan si, en realidad, las voces minoritarias se ven atrapadas en una auténtica red del silencio.

L’envit consisteix a capejar entre els límits de la llibertat d’expressió i els drets de la personalitat. En aquests casos, els subjectes que se senten agreujats poden acudir als tribunals perquè dirimeixin si els termes s’han traspassat. Figures de la reialesa, amb àmplia exposició pública, juguen moltes vegades el paper de demandants. Són partides en què mitjans i personatges tenen molt que guanyar o que perdre: un autèntic joc de reines.
