The main objectives were to identify the purpose of library visit and to trace out the service quality of university library, while other objectives were to determine whether digital libraries can replace traditional libraries or not, and to explore the preferences of students as study place. The findings show that more than 42 % students visit the library for exam preparations. The study also revealed that the service quality of the library is associated with the preferences of study places and collections of the library and 74.60 % of the respondents reported that digital library can replace traditional libraries.

Insufficiency of trained human resources in dealing with the pandemic has been prompting the populous at large to clamor for more. Therefore, this paper analyzes the experiences and perceptions of the students of the Faculty of Arts about learning continuity practices during the ongoing COVID-19. Quantitative approaches were used for this study. From the various departments of the Faculty of Arts, 205 students replied to the online survey questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 20. The study shows the learners agree with the learning continuity practices. However, high costs of internet bandwidth are causingmajor impediments for sustaining online education in the long run. Results of the chi-square test showed there was no major difference in the use of personal computers between male and female students. This study was limited to only the Faculty of Arts at the University of Dhaka. The findings of this study would be helpful for universities in Bangladesh to improve the quality of e-learning and implement clear policies and guidelines. Present paper also provides some policy level implications based on the findings. The current study offers several areas for future research.

Design thinking (DT) is an essential context for knowledge management (KM), as it promotes the link between KM initiatives and an organization's strategic goals and objectives. This article analyzes the DT process in terms of its capability to create KM. The detailed analysis on the aspect of the working mechanism of DT – how KM is represented and created in the process. This article examines the DT procedure in terms of its ability to generate design knowledge. In this regard, the main purpose of this paper is to review the approaches to KM applied to DT and to suggest directions for how such a supervisory system could evolve. Methodology. This study is thematic in its nature and it was prepared on the basis of secondary data and also based on an inclusive review of the literature and similarly computation of secondary information. A survey method has been used for this present study. The staff of NLB was purposively chosen for this study. For data collection, a questionnaire was sent to the 12 officers of NLB. The study revealed that NLB record their tacit knowledge by keeping in mind, and 36.4% recorded their knowledge by taking notes. A maximum number of respondents replied that KM is essential and relevant in NLB but needs to update regularly in the library. The study identified that KM might bring benefits for the organization, and the response rate regarding this was 100%. This research is restricted in its span, and data was collected from only twelve library officers of NLB by applying a questionnaire survey. The paper proposes that library users and staff of NLB need to broaden their understanding and modify their usual mindset and concern about the holistic approach of KM system design by giving attention to various types of knowledge, i.e., explicit and tacit knowledge. This research explored the unique views of library officers on the topic of KM in libraries.

HLs should take the responsibility to provide heath information service for public health in the areas where they are located. The main objectives of this paper is to explore the current state of private HLs in Dhaka city, to find out the challenges and provide some suggestions for improvement of HLs in Bangladesh. The study identified some challenges like; lack of library infrastructure, adequate trained manpower, managerial skills among the existing manpower, be short of goodwill within the institutions that the libraries serve and financial constraints and many others. Finally the study provides a model for improvement of health library in Bangladesh.

Especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, BL has been embraced as a realistic possibility to ensure seamless knowledge distribution regardless of time and space. Knowledge Management (KM)-based approaches are typically used to collect, coordinate, and control processes that may be utilised efficiently to both recognise and address customer needs. This study aims to explain how to apply KM techniques within the BL environment to increase educational excellence and quality. We used a quantitative approach, specifically by adopting an online questionnaire circulated to about 272 undergraduate students, primarily from the Department of Information Science and Library Management (ISLM) of the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. We received completed answers from 74 students; the data gathered were analysed...

Data were collected from both undergraduates and post-graduate students of Christ(Deemed to be University) Delhi, India, by using structured questionnaires. The data collection technique was done by using Google forms, and the links of the questionnaires were submitted to online platforms such as Facebook groups of the respondents. The study found 116 valid responses for data analysis. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software 20.0 versions was used to analyse the collected data. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the demographic information of the students. The non-parametric Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis test was conducted to measure the difference among students' demographics and variables of the study. The study found students have the readiness of KM through e-learning during the Pandemic. This research also identifi...

The main aim of this study was to investigate how the NLB goes about creating, implementing, disseminating, and applying knowledge within the organization. The other objectives of this paper were to identify the current status of KM in NLB and the understanding of different facets of KM by the staff of the National Library. The paper revealed that the situation of KM in NLB is not satisfactory. The paper also described the fact that the working environment supports the implementation but there needs to be some changes in the policies. Finally the research disclosed that NLB is a great place for implementing KM and has a large amount of possibilities for the adoption of KM. This qualitative research used the questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. Finally, data has been processed and analyzed using SPSS and MS Excel.

In order to investigate the KS patterns, a structured questionnaire was used which included different parameters such as background information of the respondents, their purpose, frequency, preferred channels, benefits and motivators for Knowledge Sharing. The data were collected from a total number of 372 students and later analysed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. The study revealed that, majority of the students of the Arts faculty share their knowledge for self-satisfaction. Although, largest numbers of the students also believe knowledge sharing help them to create new knowledge and ideas, while, learning from each other is their prime motivator for KS.

Academic libraries are also an integral part of the knowledge system, these institutions being one of the forms that contribute to knowledge development. This study aims to find out the challenges and opportunities associated with KM practices in Dhaka University Library (DUL). The specific objectives were to ascertain the understanding of KM concepts among library professionals of DUL, to explore an overview of KM and its role, and to identify the rationale behind not practicing KM properly at DUL. Appropriate methods were employed. The findings indicate that limited expertise and lack of clear guidelines are the major challenges for the implementation of KM in DUL.

Among various pedagogical techniques that have been adopted, organizing synchronous classes has been found to be the most beneficial. It simulates the classroom environment, facilitating thereby parallel knowledge dissemination to a broader audience. This study measures the efficacy of synchronous web-based learning during this ongoing pandemic, among postgraduate Library and Information Science (LIS) students of Bangladesh. Using an online questionnaire, a survey was conducted among the postgraduate students of the Department of Information Science Library Management (ISLM) of the University of Dhaka. The results revealed that limitation of internet data, unstable internet, along with power blackouts were some of the primary inhibitors blocking the participants to attend classes online. Finally, th...
