令和8年度（2026年度）大学入学共通テストが終わり、1月26日（月）から国公立大学の出願がはじまる。そこで1月24日（土）、「国立大学だけの進学説明会実施委員会」は全国14の国立大学限定のガイダンスを開催する。また、大学受験や大学生活に関する様々な情報を発信する「大学進学情報セミナー」も併せて開催する（共同開催）。
説明会は1月24日（土）9時30分から開催。参加大学は、茨城大学、筑波大学、千葉大学、東京科学大学（理工学系）、新潟大学、富山大学、信州大学、鳥取大学、岡山大学、徳島大学、鳴門教育大学、香川大学、愛媛大学、高知大学。国立大学入学希望者に対して、参加国立大学の協力のもと、各大学の魅力をオンライン（ZOOM等）にて発信する。
また、共同開催として、一般社団法人高大院接続支援機構による「大学進学情報セミナー」も併せて実施する。こちらは河合塾主催の「共通テストリサーチから見る出願動向分析」など、国公私立大学を問わず、大学進学に役立つ有用な情報を提供する。
一般選抜の出願直前に大学情報を入手あるいは確認したい高3生・既卒生だけでなく、早期に参加大学の特徴や学部概要を知りたい高1・2生の参加を歓迎する。
