Il contributo propone la prima edizione critica del componimento dialogico Porcier, cara de guine... more Il contributo propone la prima edizione critica del componimento dialogico Porcier, cara de guiner (BdT 186.1a [ma ora 152.1] = 382.1), conservato nei canzonieri P e T e finora pubblicato soltanto da Raynouard. La prima parte del lavoro, oltre a ipotizzare un motivo per la posizione del testo in P, propone di riconoscere nell’interlocutore di Porcier non il conte di Tolosa Raimondo VII (BdT 186), bensì Folchetto (BdT 152), probabilmente legato al casato comitale da vincoli politici. Raimondo VII gioca comunque un ruolo nello scambio di coblas, ponendosi forse come patrono della gara poetica. La seconda parte del lavoro passa in rassegna i punti più problematici del testo, avanzando ipotesi per la loro soluzione. L’analisi linguistica, svolta perlopiù nelle note di commento, evidenzia la presenza di tratti peculiari del Sud-Ovest, coerenti con la probabile lingua degli autori.

QUESTIONI INTORNO ALL'EDIZIONE DEI SERMONI VALDESI ANDREA GIRAUDO La prima prova di edizione dei ... more QUESTIONI INTORNO ALL'EDIZIONE DEI SERMONI VALDESI ANDREA GIRAUDO La prima prova di edizione dei sermoni valdesi medievali 1 è il risultato di un percorso cominciato parecchi anni fa e a volte difficile e tortuoso, come scrive Luciana Borghi Cedrini nell'intervento precedente. Il mio contributo ha due scopi: da un lato vuole porsi come raccordo tra i saggi che toccheranno aspetti specifici dei testi; dall'altro, intende entrare nel vivo del lavoro di edizione, presentando alcune questioni tuttora aperte e che in certi casi interessano anche aspetti di metodo. Non mi occuperò pertanto di dire cose nuove sui sermoni, ma cercherò di mostrare il dietro le quinte del lavoro.

The contribution is an introduction to the question of medieval Lenten Waldensian sermons, writte... more The contribution is an introduction to the question of medieval Lenten Waldensian sermons, written in vernacular. Starting from the general coordinates of the corpus, firstly it is shown that only two texts for the first Sunday can be actually considered Lenten sermons, as they are preserved in the sermonary and provided with explicit headings. Secondly, it is pointed out that there is anyway a considerable amount of texts which can be considered "Lenten" sermons only because of their themata, as they are not presented as such in the manuscripts. Thirdly, the already proved relationship between the Waldensian sermons and Iacobus de Voragine's sermones de tempore and quadragesimales is investigated as regards the two types of Lenten Waldensian sermons. In this perspective, some connections between sermons and inquisitorial records are pointed out, in order to show how the translation from Iacobus transforms the Dominican tradition.

Waldensian sermons, which is a corpus of nearly 200 texts written in an eastern variety of medieval Occitan. The texts are preserved in manuscripts dating to the late fifteenth through early sixteenth centuries. The first part of this paper provides information about the corpus and its history, including a brief summary of academic work on these texts since the end of the nineteenth century. The second part deals with some important aspects of the current project. Besides editing and publishing the texts, the project aims to investigate in detail other questions posed by the manuscripts (such as their genesis, manufacture, palaeographic and codicological features, and so on) and to identify the sources used in the sermons. In this regard, Iacobus de Varagine’s Sermones deserves particular attention.
